Camping Fun for Spring Break 2011

Let's just say that we are not the family who camps all the time.  However, I do hope we start going a lot more.  My family camped a lot when I was little, and it is one of my favorite memories.  We would play all kinds of board games (yatzee & scrabble), ride bikes,  and sit by the fire for hours!  My children have only been maybe 2 times and stayed the night, but our kids are getting to be at a great age for camping and they LOVE it!!  It is so easy for me ONCE we are there because the kids just run wild and play in the creek the whole time!  However, it is not the easiest thing getting ready to go camp!  We did pick the perfect weekend to camp and had 85 degrees in April!!  We are very blessed to be able to camp in the prettiest spot in the world and it happens to be family land and just minutes from our home!!  There is a great creek to fish, play, swim in, and a great field for flying kites, riding 4-wheelers, mules, and a great place to simply relax!  No stress, no rushing around, and we have a ball!  The camper we stay in is a hunting camper, so not the nicest, but it does keep us covered and has plenty of beds!  We are just in there to sleep though, so who needs the Ritz!
This year, all the cousins came to play and we got to dye eggs for Easter, so it was GREAT family fun!!
Here is our first visitor...

Little man looking closely at his perfect egg!  Ignore his pink barbie shirt!  After several wardrobe changes, he was down to girl clothing! ha ha It goes good with his skull hat!

Now time to hunt the eggs...
READY! SET!  GOOOOOO!
